CIDA's Development Information Program is happy to be a sponsor of THE GREAT WARMING - a major three-hour documentary series which looks at the global impact of climate change, and examines how people around the world are responding to the challenges it poses.
Shot in eight countries - including developing nations - THE GREAT WARMING brings us the experiences of people impacted by the effects of climate change, as well as the work of scientists and visionary thinkers who are committed to finding sustainable solutions for our future.
Developing countries and economies in transition are especially vulnerable to climate change given their socio-economic circumstances and their resulting lack of capacity or resources to adapt. CIDA works to combat climate change by working with developing country parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on climate Change.
CIDA's Development Information Program supports projects which bring the issues around development and international cooperation to the Canadian public. The program's focus is on projects which involve developing countries and countries in transition.
