PRESBYTERIANS FOR RESTORING CREATION (PRC)
Caring for God’s Creation by connecting, equipping, and inspiring.

Presbyterians for Restoring Creation (PRC) was founded in 1995 as a national, grassroots organization to support people of faith working towards “environmental wholeness with social justice." PRC, through its members, both individuals and congregations, helps the church to fulfill its current environmental policies, to create new policies and practices, and to energize and educate church members about eco-justice, the well-being of all human kind on a thriving earth.

PRC was instrumental in helping to pass one of the first denominational policy statements urging its congregations and members to live  "Climate Neutral" lives at the Presbyterian Church's national meeting in June 2006.  PRC is working with members to provide resources for this action step.

To support and educate its members, PRC offers national conferences every two years in a different region of the country, as well as regional conferences on topics such as water, food, global warming.  The newsletter, PRC Update provides members with up-to-date links to conferences, events and resources for their own ministries.

Last year. PRC began an avoiding bottled water campaign to practice one way to take better care of water resources, locally and globally. Download the H2O: How to Overcome the Bottled Water Habit campaign brochure (doc). It includes the history/scripture/church policy that inspired our campaign, a bottled water pledge, a True/False quiz on bottled water, and more.
